CV JointsConstant Velocity (CV) joints are found on front wheel and some rear wheel drive vehicles. CV joints allow power to be transmitted to the wheels of your vehicle under all conditions whether your turning, going over bumps or in a straight line. CV joints need to be kept full of grease to make them last long distances. The CV boot keeps your CV joints lubricated by holding the grease around the joint. These boots are prone to perishing or wear and require periodic replacement. Symptoms of a worn CV joint include a loud “clicking’ sound when turning and vibrations through the steering wheel.
